We are currently hiring a full-time Food & Beverage Manager, and seeking an energetic, communicative, and hospitable individual to fill this role. The ideal Restaurant Manager candidate will demonstrate the necessary skills to handle the fast-paced and ever-changing atmosphere of a busy restaurant. This position is based on a 5 day 40+ hr work week, including late nights, and performing in high pressure situations.

 

Key Responsibilities

- Assist with daily functions of the restaurant, quality of operations, and maintain a clean, safe workplace

 - Ensure excellent guest experience and satisfaction at all levels of service

 - Effectively identify, and delegate jobs to the restaurant staff

 - Communicate openly within house management staff, as well as with different levels of management across the company

 - Keep track of inventory and place orders with suppliers accordingly

 - Manage customer complaints

 - Create schedules for staff

 - Monitor the restaurant’s sales
 - Attend scheduled manager meetings. 

 

Qualifications

 2yrs+ Restaurant/Bar experience / 1yr+ in a supervisory role

 POS and basic computer proficiency

 Strong leadership and communication skills

Chef-owner Ho learned the restaurant trade through his family. He was born in Taiwan and grew up in Houston, Texas, helping his dad out at his restaurant when he was just a kid. His family moved to Allentown and set up a few restaurants there under Ho Ho Incorporated. Ho eventually took over the business in 2014 and is now expanding to Philly.

Ho calls his menu at Mei Mei “progressive Asian” and says he’s using modern techniques and ingredients for traditional dishes. It has something of an Asian fusion vibe with options like miso-crusted sea bass, miso caesar salad, rolled scallion pancakes with braised pork belly, Peking duck bao, Korean-style fried chicken wings, Taiwanese-style Hunan beef, and fried rice with Taiwanese sausage.
