Position Details:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and capable Event Sales Manager to join our exceptional team of service leaders. This role is responsible for creating an outstanding first impression and positive image of the restaurant, as this is the first contact with guests and handling the day-to-day event sales operations. This includes planning, organizing, and coordinating private dining, catering functions and the completion of BEOs for group and local catering. This is a salaried base role with commissions on sales.


  • Efficiently and accurately handles reservations, cancellations and a variety of inquiries received from guests or public and re-directs these inquiries to the restaurant staff as needed.
  • Educate guests about menu selections, dining options, and settings at each property, including tasting menus/wine pairings, private parties, and costs and availability.
  • Build relationships with new clients and identify/call on past and current clients directly to promote events and catering functions.
  • Negotiate prices and arrangements with clients, draw up contracts, and secure client’s signature and deposit.
  • Remain abreast of all menu and wine list changes at the restaurant. Work with the Executive Chef to establish basic party menus, the General Manager to ensure staffing pars, and Sommelier to ascertain appropriate wines for parties and events.
  • Entertain clients in accordance with established company (and building) policies and guidelines.
  • Prepare and deliver daily pre-service meeting.
  • Interact with guest frequently to ensure satisfaction of their dining experience, and to build relationships to develop return clientele.
  • Resolve guest complaints with Manager assistance as needed and report to Director of Restaurants and Executive Chef.

  • Minimum 2 years’ hospitality sales expreince in simialar caliber
  • High School equivalent education preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Ability to read, speak and interpret documents clearly
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel, Outlook. 
  • Working knowledge of various Reservation, Point of Sale & Guest Experience
  • Meticulously organized and highly communicative
  •  Ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays in addition to
    normal business hours, as needed
  • Must be able to multi-task and manage in high volume, and high stress
  • Must be able to reach, bend, stoop, and Can frequently lift up to 30 pounds, as well as work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 10 hours).

Compensation: Salary ($65,000.00 - $70,000.00) plus tips
