About the Position
We are searching for a Beverage Bar Manager. You would be responsible for helping the operations run successfully. This role has a strong hospitality element, ensuring that the store delivers high-quality products and great customer service. Engaging with customers and trying to guide them through the menu and experience is of the utmost importance. Applicants with experience in Jucie Bars, Smoothie Bars, and Tonic Bars are strongly encouraged to apply.
The Happier Bar offers coffee and tonic/herbal/TCM drinks is an essential element to the Happier Grocery. The people we bring into this program will a have hands-on experience with functional herbal offerings, conversations with customers, and offered continued education through our consultants, managers, and third parties.
What you will do
- Welcome and inform customers about specials or latest items, answer questions, educate about Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and herbs, receive orders and payments.
- Engage with customers to assist in the arrear of menu offerings.
- Grinding and brewing coffee, pulling espresso, and making espresso-based drinks.
- Prepare tonics from recipes and properly present them customers.
- Promote coffee and herbal products in Happier Grocery
- Clan and restock work areas, empty trash, and sanitize equipment.
- Work as part of a fun, high energy team
- Stand during your shift.
- Comply with health and safety regulations.
- Communicate customer feedback to managers and recommend new menu items.
What you will bring
· Passion and knowledge on functional roots, leaves, mushrooms, teas, and herbal supplements in general
· General herbal and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) knowledge (not necessary)
· Experience as a Barista or in the Hospitality Industry
· Approachable and eager to converse with curious customers
Qualifications
- Excellent customer service skills.
- · Preferred 1-2 year’s experience as a Barista and Juice or Smoothie Bar Lead required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Knowledge of mixology techniques.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of POS systems.
- Relevant certifications and/or experience in mixology
