Philotimo, is a Greek Restaurant from Chef Nicholas Stefanelli of Michelin-star Masseria. Philotimo is Chef Stefanelli's vision to tell the story of Greece’s gastronomic history and culture through the lens of food and wine.

Preferred Qualifications:
*1-2+ years of experience in a high-volume pastry, bakery or banquet production kitchen or any related environment.
*Proficient knowledge of basic baking techniques and procedures.

*Ability to train staff on menu items and procedure.
Key Responsibilities:
*Prepare a wide variety of high-end baked goods including artisan breads and pastries.
*Prepare a wide variety of high-end Greek, Italian Mediterranean baked goods.
*Operate baking equipment including planetary mixer, deck ovens, combi ovens, etc.
*Produce bakery items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen team.
*Ensure that baked good are produced in a timely fashion for morning delivery and sale.
*Follow Executive Pastry Chef’s vision of new and exciting desserts to renew our menus and engage the interest of our customers
*Check quality of material and condition of equipment and devices used for baking
*Maintain a clean and orderly cooking station and adhere to health and safety standards
*Monitor baking pantry (ingredients, materials, other products) and communicate any discrepancies or low quantities.
*Answer, report, and follow the Executive Pastry Chef or Pastry Sous Chef’s instructions as needed, or the Chef de Cuisine in absence.
Physical Requirements:
*Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
*Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
*All employees are to maintain a neat and well-groomed appearance (specifics will be provided)
