James Beard nominated Chef Dale Talde is taking traditional Cantonese fair up a notch with Goosefeather, the first concept from Food Crush Hospitality, a partnership between him and his wife, Agnes. 

 

Guests can expect a unique and flavorful dining experience, as Dale pays tribute to the cuisine of Hong Kong, with a focus on noodles, Cantonese barbecue and dumplings. Additionally, the beverage menu at Goosefeather offers an array of traditional offerings with a Hong Kong twist.

 

The Opportunity

The Events Sales Manager plays a vital role in driving event sales, managing client relationships, and ensuring exceptional event experiences for our guests. They play a key role in promoting our venue, coordinating events, and meeting revenue targets while representing the Goosefeather brand with hospitality in every interaction.

 

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Respond to incoming inquiries for private events and group dining
  • Responsible for maintenance and development of corporate and social events
  • Collaborate with FOH & BOH management team to maximize event revenue and streamline logistics for a seamless guest experience
  • Liaise with clients throughout the booking and planning process by negotiating pricing and estimates, generating contracts, securing payment details, performing walk-throughs, etc.
  • Adhere to department and company procedures to ensure confirmed events are communicated to appropriate internal & external teams
  • Familiarize with various possible floor plans for different events
  • Work with clients for confirmed events on their customized menu options, beverage details, floor plans, room set up notes, run of show and all specifics pertaining to their event
  • Maintain and constantly update event information in our catering software program to generate accurate BEO's
  • Update client facing material diligently, including photos and pricing sheets
  • Participate in weekly meetings with chefs and managers to communicate all catering details for events
  • Communicate in an organized and timely manner all of the logistics and specifics of the party to on-site management and provide on-site support for events where necessary to ensure proper execution of all event details
  • Problem solve, and creatively drive sales goals
  • Generate new business leads through proactive outreach to new and existing clients
  • Provide assistance with special projects as assigned adhering to deadlines.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in event sales and coordination within the food and beverage/hospitality industry.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong negotiation and persuasion abilities.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and event management software.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage trends, industry standards, and best practices.
  • Flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate client needs.
  • Positive attitude and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.


Pay Transparency: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour, to commensurate with experience. This position is also eligible to collect commission.
