Job Details
We are seeking a General Manager to lead our team at Maude Restaurant. The ideal candidate will be a natural leader with the ability to achieve excellence from their team. The General Manager is responsible for the daily operations of the restaurant, meeting established costs as well driving a service team to create a polished and hospitable environment.

 

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the restaurant
  • Process invoices and submit to accounting for payment
  • Oversee proper reservations operations
  • Responsible for the hiring and training of new staff
  • Create a schedule for the staff
  • Ensure proper sanitation and safety practices
  • Ordering of any consumable items needed for the restaurant
  • Provide relief within the team as needed
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef and Head Sommelier on the menu
  • Work closely with the Executive Chef to properly educate the full team on the menu
  • Meet controllable and labor costs set forth by the Director of Operations
  • Attend weekly managers meetings to ensure open lines of communication between departments
  • Ensure proper maintenance and operation of all equipment

 

Requirements

  • 5+ years hospitality experience
  • 2+ years in a leadership role
  • Michelin or other fine dining experience
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Consistent pursuit of exceeding standards
  • Proper knowledge of food handling and sanitation standards
  • Dynamic problem-solving skills
  • Able to lift 40 pounds
  • Able to spend a minimum of 8 hours standing per day
  • Able to work a minimum of 40 hours per week



Compensation Details

Compensation: Salary ($90,000.00 - $110,000.00)

Our market-driven, prix-fixe menu is designed to create an intimate chef’s table experience for my entire dining room of 25 seats, where every seat is within a comfortable distance to our open kitchen. All of the most incredible dining experiences I’ve been fortunate enough to enjoy, take place at my mates’ restaurants where they take the menu away, deliver a glass of champagne to the table, and away we go... course after course, I’m pleasantly surprised by the tasting plates that make it to my table. I’m excited to have the opportunity to share this experience with each of my guests at Maude.
