We are looking for a talented and experienced Sushi Chef to join our team and help us continue to raise the bar in culinary excellence.

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sushi Chef to create artful and delicious sushi dishes in our restaurant. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in Japanese cuisine and a deep understanding of sushi preparation techniques. As a Sushi Chef at MOcha Red, you will be responsible for:

Key Responsibilities:

- Preparing and presenting a variety of sushi and sashimi dishes with precision and creativity.
- Maintaining the highest standards of food quality, taste, and presentation.
- Adhering to food safety, kosher, and sanitation guidelines to ensure a clean and safe working environment.
- Collaborating with the kitchen team to ensure a smooth and efficient operation.
- Assisting in menu development, creating new and exciting sushi rolls, and staying updated with industry trends.

Requirements:

- Proven experience as a Sushi Chef in a high-quality Japanese restaurant.
- Strong knowledge of sushi preparation techniques, including rice cooking, fish handling, and knife skills.
- Ability to create visually appealing and delicious sushi dishes.
- Familiarity with Japanese ingredients, flavors, and food culture.
- A passion for food and a dedication to delivering an exceptional dining experience to customers.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Food handler's certification or relevant culinary qualifications are a plus.
