Lawn Club is an exciting new competitive socializing destination in the Seaport, opening in mid-October 2023.

Positioning itself as “New York’s Leisure Headquarters,” Lawn Club will feature indoor and outdoor rentable gaming lawns in a massive 25,000 square foot venue, along with amazing cocktails and a small menu of tasty bites.

Designed to deliver the ideal atmosphere for hanging out with friends, each rentable lawn at Lawn Club will come with a full complement of popular lawn games including but not limited to bocce, cornhole, croquet, ladders, kan jam, beersbee, putting pool and shuffleboard, along with big-screen TVs for sports enjoyment, courtside drink service, and dedicated “Lawncierges” to help with all gaming needs.

Lawn Club will appeal to a variety of audiences: twenty-somethings looking for a fun night out, families looking for something to do together, anyone looking for a great event venue for their next birthday or bar mitzvah, corporate event planners, and more.

About the Role

The Captain is a central player responsible for bringing the lawn guest experience to life at The Lawn Club. They ensure delivery of superior hospitality and fun gaming experiences to all guests. This role will serves as a facilitator, coordinating with Lawncierges to keep track of the dashboard of guest groups scheduled to be on the courts next and supporting the full end to end guest experience on the lawn. Your exceptional organizational skills, championing of fun, and coordination abilities will ensure game times are on track, and guests have a seamless and enjoyable experience.

The Impact You’ll Make | Essential Responsibilities

• Coordinate court times, reservations, and serve as a conduit between the host team and lawncierge team to ensure exceptional guest experiences are consistently delivered
• Facilitate and coordinate with Lawncierges to maintain a dashboard of scheduled guest groups, ensuring smooth transitions between games and maximizing court usage
• Demonstrate expert knowledge of all lawn games and activities, providing tips on play, rules, and scorekeeping to enhance the guests' gaming experience
• Greet, welcome, and usher guests to the courts, introducing them to game options and regularly checking in on their games
• Assist patrons with questions, inquiries, and guide complaints to management, ensuring guest satisfaction
• Partner with the Food and Beverage (F&B) team to enhance guests' dining and drink experiences
• Ensure the set-up, maintenance, and breakdown of gaming equipment, maintaining safety and cleanliness standards
• Actively participate during line-up and collaborate with the operating team to optimize the overall guest experience
• Adhere to safety protocols and ensure the safety of all guests during gaming activities
• Maintain elevated standards of cleanliness and appearance throughout the venue to create a welcoming atmosphere
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and guidelines, ensuring operational efficiency and consistency
• Provide support and actively perform all key functions of lawncierge role
• Consistently report to scheduled shifts on time and ready to work in proper uniform
• Operate ethically to protect the assets and image of the company
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as per business need

About YOU! | KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILL

• Minimum of 2+ years as concierge, recreation attendant, or equivalent relevant experience
• Able to deliver a fun, enthusiastic experience to guests consistently
• Personable demeanor, instinctive nature, and ability to deliver world-class hospitality
• Ability to think quickly, multi-task, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to communicate effectively and eloquently, both verbal and written
• Ability to take direction and execute
• High standards for cleanliness of workspace and service areas

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS 

• Ability to perform the essential job functions consistently, safely and successfully with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards. 
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs; Ability to stand for prolong periods of time and climb steps regularly. 
• Ability to physically maneuver through work areas; bend, lift, carry, reach/extend arms, and hands above shoulder height frequently, or otherwise move in a constantly changing environment.

COMPENSATION

The base pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00 per hour. The determination of what a specific employee in this job classification is paid within the range depends on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, prior employment history/job-related knowledge, qualifications and skills, etc.
