High Street’s forthcoming restaurant and bar is the anticipated expansion of one of Philadelphia’s most loved bakeries. The restaurant, within James Beard Award-winning High Street Hospitality Group, is opening in early Fall in Washington Square West. High Street’s menu celebrates local vendor and seasonal ingredients with dishes that feature our artisanal bakery, including pizza and handmade pastas, visualized by its soulful and talented Executive Chef, Christina Mckeough.
The beverage program complements the spirit of the kitchen with a thoughtful selection of small-production wines and beers, focused on American and especially East Coast producers. The talented team behind a.bar lends their fun and sophisticated approach to the cocktail program. A full coffee program is offered throughout the day and evening.

Position Description & Responsibilities
We are actively searching for Front of House team members who are committed to warm and genuine hospitality. The steps of service will be intentional and unwavering, though executing the standards with sincerity, kindness and your unique flair will carry the day! Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, opening/closing side work tasks related to your role, managing and taking ownership of your assigned section, an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the menus and training new team members.
Position Requirements
- 2-3+ years of relevant restaurant experience
- Flexible availability (evening-oriented schedule preferred)
- 4+ shifts per week
- Willingness to train new team members
- Dedicated work ethic
- Ability to work efficiently for 6-8 hours on your feet
- Sincere interest in the art of hospitality, food and beverage
- Barista experience a plus
Compensation
- High Street will add a 20% service fee to all checks which will be used to pay competitive and equitable wages to our Front and Back of House teams as well as support the robust selection of benefits we offer.
- The starting hourly rate for FOH is dependent upon level and experience, ranging from $17 - $27 per hour.
