We are seeking a sommelier to join the opening team for our new project!
OCTO is a fine-casual Asian restaurant located near Empire State Building in NYC. We offer authentic Korean-Chinese dishes at an elegant and comfortable dining room setting.

This is a full-time position and a pooled-tip service role that works closely with all other FOH and BOH team members.

Compensation Details
- Hourly($10.00-$15.00) plus tips
Our ideal candidate possesses the following qualities:
- Exceptional work ethic, strong attention to detail, and a collaborative attitude
- Be organized and detail oriented
- Performing high level of customer/guest service and guest interaction by exhibiting a friendly personality and engaging guests consistently
Responsibilities & Requirements:
- A minimum of 3 years of a full-service restaurant experience as a sommelier
- Must demonstarate excellent wine knowledge
- Must be cofident in participating in the recommendation and curation of guest drink selection, as welllas proficiently serving and pouring beverages with a high level of professionalism drink menu choices, serving and pouring beverages in professional manner
- Knowledge of food and wine pairing
- Particiapte in wine inventory
- Firm understanding of sanitation/DOH
- Working knowledge of POS systems
- Must have open availability and able to work flexible hours
- Wine certification preferred
