Peak is a premium restaurant, bar and an impressive events space on the 101 floor above New York City. The panoramic venue is situated above the highest outdoor observation deck in the city. A luxurious destination with breath-taking views of lower Manhattan and the Statue of Liberty.
Peak is looking for a Sommelier to join the team.
As a Sommelier, you are a wine expert responsible for creating wine lists, recommending food and wine pairings, and advising guests on wine choices. Collaborating with chefs, managing the wine cellar, and ensuring wines are served correctly.
This role will pay a salary of $16/hr while working in a tipped capacity, and $35/hr when doing administrative work such as monthly inventory and wine intake.

Duties:
- Recommend food and wine pairings.
- Advise guests on wines based on their personal tastes and food choices.
- Inform guests about different varieties of wines and prices.
- Ensure wines are served at the right temperature and within the proper glassware.
- Train wait staff on available wines.
- Ask guests for ID to verify legal drinking age.
- Comply with all health and safety regulations
Experience:
- At least 2 years of Sommelier
- Experience in fine dining (NYC preferred)
- Knowledge of all major regions and production
- Court of master sommeliers certification/WSET/ASA certification a plus but not 100% necessary
