SERVER

Position Description 
The Server’s primary responsibility is to serve guests in a warm, accommodating, and professional manner ensuring total guest satisfaction. This is achieved by: 

• Engaging with guests and anticipating needs while guiding their experience  
• Having knowledge of all menu items, garnishes, contents and preparation methods 
• Having knowledge of beverage lists and promotion 
• Informing guests of specials and menu changes 
• Being ready and willing to assist team members as situations arise 
• Assembling table and place settings to ensure that they are always clean, safe, and orderly 
• Following all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage 

Required Experience 

• Experience in high-volume restaurants (2+ years Manhattan experience preferred) 
• Strong problem solving, communication, and interpersonal skills, ability to handle tense situations with coworkers and customers calmly and rationally 
• Observant and thorough 
• Responsible and punctual 
• Ability to meet physical and scheduling demands of the position, including, walking, standing, or lifting heavy items for extended periods and open availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays 
• NYC DOH and T.I.P.S. certifications a Plus
