Working with a talented team of Food & Beverage professionals, The Peninsula Chicago is seeking a guest-focused Assistant Manager in our F&B Outlets to oversee restaurant operations.

Key accountabilities

• Responsible for all activities of the outlet, which includes staff scheduling, delegation of job tasks, monitoring and supervision of service, monitoring reservations and table assignment, and ensuring managerial floor presence.
• Train, mentor, motivate, supervise and assist manager to discipline all department employees.
• Initiate and maintain friendly yet discreet and unobtrusive service in: greeting, seating and waiting on all guests.
• Take, control reservations and seating of the restaurant with regard to service standards and maximizing revenue.

General requirements 

• Minimum of 3 years leadership experience in a three meal period in a restaurant Five-Star hotel 
• In depth understanding of various cuisine, wines and pairings
• Relevant professional qualifications (eg. Hospitality, Business, Marketing)
• Ability to speak English fluently, additional languages would be highly advantageous
