Bartender Position -
Oceans, a locally and globally inspired seafood restaurant, was founded by Vancouver’s award-winning Toptable Group with the philosophy of creating a timeless and approachable dining experience. Executive Chef Andy Kitko sets the vision for the menu inspired by the Pacific, Atlantic, and Mediterranean shores that features the freshest catches available – all accented by seasonal ingredients.
JOB SUMMARY:
We are currently hiring a Bartender. The incumbent will work to support the delivery of a unique and elevated guest experience that is in harmony with the kitchen’s food program.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

OPERATIONS:
- Passion for food, beverage, and culture
- 2+ years of experience tending bar in a high-end, fast-paced environment
- Possesses solid background knowledge of spirits, contemporary cocktails, etc.
- Highly committed to a premium level of quality
- Skilled at developing and creating beverage experiences that drive customer satisfaction and loyalty
- A solutions provider committed to a vision of service to create an ultimate guest experience
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills
- Excellent planning, organizational and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable dealing with VIP guests
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Able to lift 30+ pounds
- Fluent in both written and spoken English
- Must have basic math skills
- Maintain friendly, helpful and positive attitude at all times
- Polished personal presentation
- Communicates information effectively and efficiently
- Ability to comprehend and follow written and verbal direction
- Able to work nights, weekends and holidays, and variable schedule, per the needs of the business
- Ability to walk, stand, and/or bend continuously and for extended periods as required to perform essential job functions
- Ability to perform essential job functions under pressure, maintains professionalism when working under stress
- Attends mandatory staff meetings
- Adherence to company, state, and county sanitation standards
- Adherence to posted schedule and clock in/out at times
- Unpack & organize all items in and around the restaurant to maintain highest level of cleanliness possible
- Perform all other related and compatible duties as assigned by the Management Team
- Adhere to all HR policies and procedures
