Daisies is a midwest vegetable focused, Italian inspired restaurant located in the Logan Square neighborhood of Chicago. Our restaurant is hyper seasonal so our menu changes frequently; in the summer the menu sometimes changes daily. It is a fast-paced job. You're responsible for your station on a daily basis, you help prep it out and you work it during service. We have prep cooks and sous chefs that help you get set up, but you will learn how to truly work a station. 

The menu has 30 items total, 10-12 of which are handmade pastas. We make pasta fresh daily and we use organic and sustainable produce from local farms throughout the Midwest as much as possible, including from our families two farms. One is an 8-acre farm located just 30 miles away, the other 30 acres located in Michigan. 

We have a program dedicated to fermentation. If you have knowledge of fermentation, that is a bonus. If you don't, you will have the opportunity to learn about it. 

We will treat you like the human being you are, no matter your race, religion, sexual orientation, gender, etc. We do not discriminate. We just want to cook delicious food for our guests with people who share the same passion.

You will work hard here. You will learn here. You will leave a better cook from here. This is a small restaurant which forces you to learn quickly so you must have a sense of urgency. This is a deal breaker.

We are closed one day a week. It's very important to us that our employees have time outside of work to recharge and take care of themselves. We know how hard and fast paced this industry is, so we feel it necessary to everyone at Daisies to have the ability to enjoy things outside of the kitchen. 

You will be trained to do your job. It is a small kitchen staff (under 15) so you have the attention and assistance you will need daily.
