BACK WAITER
The Yokai mission is to provide San Francisco with a delicious upscale, casual dining experience serving a menu comprised of California and Japanese ingredients, wagyu and other meats, in a beautifully designed and curated space. The beverage program will focus on an eclectic wine list, Japanese spirits, and cocktails made with care and craft. An ideal candidate has experience in a fast paced, upscale environment and is excited to provide an exceptional guest experiences.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Delivering food to guests and identifying its various components.
Setting, clearing, remarking tables before, during and after service.
Assisting servers with table maintenance and service
Maintaining cleanliness of the restaurant.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Previous service experience required.
Must know the fundamentals of service and food.
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES:
Ability to take direction and also work independently.
Ability to coordinate a variety of activities simultaneously.
Strong verbal communication skills.
Must have good judgment, versatility, flexibility.
Motivated and good team player who takes initiative.
Must have a courteous, friendly and professional manner.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Standing/walking approximately 90% of shift.
Ability to bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, lift and grasp to perform routine tasks for up
to 6 hours at a time.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently.
REQUIRED HOURS:
Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
