Atomix was named one of Esquire's "Best New Restaurants in America,” Robb Report’s “Best New Restaurant - United States,” and ranked again on Wells' list for the "Top 10 Restaurants" of 2018.Atomix is looking for talented and passionate Assistant General Manager to join our growing company.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- HR: recruitment, onboarding, manual assembly, employee relations upkeep (keep track of birthdays and anniversaries and email upper management monthly)
- Purchasing/inventory: orders, inventory update as needed, price comparison
- Training: manual updates in conjunction w/ Team Leader(s), training schedule upkeep
- Service: supervise/discipline/coach staff as needed, wine service/other assistance as needed
- Cash Flow: update cash sales/tips weekly, sales payroll nightly
- POS Maintenance: stay up-to-date, replace and update as needed, POS organization
- Guest Relations: build rapport, manage guest preferences and notes on Resy, follow up with guests as needed
- Tock: Familiarize with Tock, supervise Reservationist’ and communicate to improve the app usage, maneuver platform/dashboard to set up seasonal slot changes
- Food Menu Updates: Work with the culinary team for any updates on allergies
- Ongoing Education: Continue to assign beverage notes to the team and discuss during pre-shift, create a test/quiz each quarter to keep the team engaged and challenged
- Maintenance: Keep track of license renewals, Hood cleaning/ansul/NYFD, all furniture, and restaurant maintenance. Communication with HAND team for maintenance, preparation for DOH inspections
- Keyholder: responsible for closing up the restaurant, ensuring security of the facility when last to leave the building, checking for gas/hood/appliances upon departure
- Complying and monitoring all New York City and New York state labor laws as they apply with guidance from the HR team (e.g. break laws, paid sick leave, etc.)
Qualified candidates must possess:
- Restaurant management experience of 3+ years
- Must be able to demonstrate an extensive depth of food and beverage knowledge
- Possess exceptional floor presence
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment effectively without losing focus on priorities and while maintaining a high level of quality
- NYC Department of Health Food Protection Certification and a strong understanding, compliance, and enforcement of all best practices and procedures to maintain excellent restaurant hygiene conditions
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and/or Google Workplace
- A keen eye for detail, a natural inclination to host, an open mind, and always up for a challenge
- Knowledge and/or experience with Korean food & beverage is a plus but not required
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 25lbs if necessary
- Safely and effectively use all necessary tools and equipment
- Stand and walk for an entire shift, including moving safely through all areas of the restaurant
