We are looking for naturally friendly and attentive people to fill this position. Our front of house team members are incredibly important because they will be the ones who welcome our guests and set the tone for a great customer service experience. We will challenge our front of house staff to go above and beyond in ensuring a welcoming and clean environment to each of our customers, as well as the consistent preparation of all of our delicious beverage options. We highly value any and all Barista training, but will also offer training for those who may not have as much experience.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Graciously greeting customers.
- In depth knowledge of the beverage and food selection, to the extent you will be able to thoughtfully answer any of the customer questions.
- Accurately and consistently preparing all of our beverage offerings.
- Keeping front of house and beverage work stations clean & sanitized throughout the shift.
- Maintaining proper upkeep and care for coffee/beverage making equipment.
- Proper management of inventory levels, maintaining front of house stock such as cups, paper goods, etc. and communicating to front of house managers when items are running low.
- Maintaining composure and professionalism in a fast paced work environment.
- Answering the store phone in a professional and courteous manner.
- If guests are dining in, team members will deliver food & beverage to the customer’s table.
- The completion of opening and closing checklists to ensure smooth transitions from shift to shift.
- In depth knowledge of the front of house POS system (Toast) as well as the ability to track orders made through 3rd party food order/delivery services (Uber Eats, DoorDash, Grubhub, etc).
- Notifying management of any customer complaints whether made in store or through other channels such as telephone, email, etc.
- The honest & responsible handling of all money transactions, cash or card.
- Adherence to all established health, sanitation, and food & work safety practices.
- Physical Requirements- This position will require you to be standing for the duration of your shift, withholding all state mandated break/labor requirements. Must be able to lift, push, pull, and move product, equipment and supplies up to twenty-five (25) pounds. Work requires the following motions: bending, twisting, squatting and reaching.
