What we're looking for:

The ideal candidate has a minimum of 3+ years of accounting/book keeping experience within the hospitality industry.

The successful candidate will also ensure that the company's daily accounting functions run precisely and effectively.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Broad range of cost analyst responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Maintains current recipe cost in R365.
  • Enters A/P invoices including Food, Beverage and General Invoices in R365, ensuring accuracy of information.
  • Adds new items and vendors in R365.
  • Oversees all aspects of monthly inventory at all locations including Miami. Inventory responsibilities include but are not limited to:
    • Maintain the taking sheets and inventory locations.
    • Review's inventory and posts it. 
    • Sends final inventory broken down by GL Code to the accounting team to post in Compeat Advantage.
  • Maintains inventory locations in R365.
  • Compares purchase price of identical items across multiple restaurants.
  • Provides new item information to FOH management.
  • Verifies that deliveries match purchase orders.
  • Ensures that invoices batches are complete and accurate.
  • Receive, accept, post all transfers into R365.
  • Maintain corresponding journal entries every period of transfers in Compeat Advantage.
  • Vendors liaison that include the following but is not limited to:
    • Negotiate discounts and rebates with vendors based off yearly spending. 
    • Negotiate pricing on high volume items. 
    • Negotiate contracts 
    • Vendor setup for new locations and in new prospective cities. 
    • Maintain contact, relationship, and oversight with all of our vendors.
    • Ensure monthly rebates are received.
  • Purchasing and Sourcing responsibilities that include the following but is not limited to: 
    • Source new items.
    • Purchase PPE items. 
    • Purchase all items for new restaurants (Kitchen equipment, tabletops, bar supplies, china, glass, silver, etc.) 
    • Create purchasing guides for all locations
  • Systems implementation and maintenance for R365 and Toast
  • Responsible for recipe and menu costing
  • Format menus and collaborate with the chefs for seasonal menu changes
  • Responsible for producing and distributing daily Reporting Tool and Forecast Sales to each location weekly.
  • Produce monthly reports for Inventory and Discounts/ Comps
  • Provides on-site support to chef teams as requested and with restaurant openings.

QUALIFICATIONS include but not limited to:

  • Demonstrated accounting or bookkeeping experience
  • Strong experience in in MS Office (Excel), R365, Toast databases and other accounting and restaurant software
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Aptitude for numbers
  • Well organized
  • Associate's degree or relevant certification 
  • Previous experience in the luxury hotel/restaurants industry
