Plant based hospitality group located in Manhattan is looking for an Events Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate is a team player who is passionate about delivering an exceptional experience to every guest while exemplifying the values of the company. You must be personable, well spoken, professional and knowledgable of the hospitality industry. We are looking for someone with a positive attitude who has a strong work ethic and strong communication skills (written and verbal). In addition to base salary, there is commission offered for each booking.
About the role:
Our Events Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all private events. They are leaders in the industry and can direct, implement and coordinate a small intimate event to a large-scale event. They are the main point of contact during all events and is responsible for providing the member/guest with a positive experience through expectational service standards, organizational skills, strong salesmanship, and a positive attitude oriented towards teamwork.
Description:
- Respond promptly to initial inquiries.
- Deliver information packets and email event proposals, including menu options, to event prospects.
- Maintain an up-to-date record of all inquiries, along with tentative and confirmed bookings, in the companies system.
- Prepare Events Orders and floor diagrams, distributing them to the appropriate managers.
- Accurately schedule events in the companies system to prevent conflicts with other departments vying for event space.
- Oversee and present for all aspects during events (load-in, service & load-out)
- Welcome the member/client contact upon arrival at function and ensure member/guest satisfaction and assist with any requests in a professional and courteous manner
- Maximize Event sales with upholding clubs brand
- Collaborate with Membership to curate cultural programming events
- Interact and develop a relationship with each client from the point of introduction
- Ensure event orders include all essential information and are distributed in the directed timeframe
- Monitor and handle inquiry calls on a timely basis.
- Coordinate with the Chef, Head Bartender and F&B manager to plan special requests for members/clients and special event menus. Arrange tasting with Chef’s schedule between the client/member
- Ensure that all definite functions are detailed accurately on Event Orders, signed by clients, and distributed to designated departments on a timely basis. Resolve any discrepancies with respective internal team
- Assist in supervising the service where required of functions, ensuring member satisfaction
- Monitor all billing/payment procedures according to Accounting standards
- Prepare and distribute the monthly booking report according to procedures. Compare actual to forecast
- Prepare and distribute an annual Events marketing plan in accordance with club specifications.
