& Sons Buttery is looking for someone with strong cheese knowledge, a love of food and cooking, an eye for display, a warm spirit, and a commitment to building community. The Buttery is a new and growing provisions shop in Prospect Lefferts Gardens, featuring cheeses, sliced meats, sandwiches, cider and beer, and kitchen-related home goods.

 

We are looking for candidates with full time availability from Wednesday to Sunday.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

• Serve customers throughout the store: cheese, charcuterie, prepared foods, and groceries.
• Cut to order cheese and charcuterie.
• Prepare daily sandwiches.
• Fulfilling orders for online purchases.
• Stock and merchandise the shop - making sure it looks great all day and maintaining FIFO.
• Communicate proactively with Culinary Director about items to be ordered, fixed, customer feedback, etc.
• Follow food safety and hygiene standards set forth by the state and ownership/management.
• Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the shop, including but not limited to: food prep areas, work stations, refrigerators, bathrooms and Store front.
• Grow and develop your skills and knowledge.
