The Host or Hostess is responsible for managing the arrival experience for guests entering the Hotel’s Food and Beverage Space, finding and filling their reservation, securing them a table in the Red House Tavern, or helping them find a table in the Café/Bar. The Host or Hostess also helps direct meeting and banquet guests to the Conference Rooms and helps meeting organizers find their event coordinator.


Duties/Responsibilities:
• Contributes to the departmental and property monthly goals for guest satisfaction scores by doing the job right the first time and giving exemplary service that goes above and beyond guest expectations. This is Job One for all team members.
• Greets customers with a warm and friendly tone, making them feel at home, and using their names whenever possible. Becomes familiar with frequent customers in the Seven Rooms CRM system. Learns their preferences.
• Distributes menus and introduces the party’s server. Is completely knowledgeable about all of the products offered. answering questions regarding the menu and helping educate guests about the different items and their ingredients.
• Collects plates and clears the table as customers finish their meals. Cleans and disinfects tables and chair surfaces after patrons leave. Refresh or replace collateral and maintain an inviting presence.
• Answers telephones in service areas, answering questions or directing calls.
• Maintains a clean and orderly service work area.
• Bids guests farewell by name and inviting them to come back.
• Models teamwork at all times, assisting servers by setting tables, providing beverage service, clearing and resetting tables, and checking side stations.
• Wears appropriate brand required uniform and name tag during all scheduled shifts.
• Performs all other duties assigned from time to time.
