ATLA, an Enrique Olvera project moving to the west coast is currently seeking experienced Servers to join their opening team.
Task and Responsibilities
- Lead by example in all aspects of service and display a genuine passion for hospitality always striving to exceed guest's expectations
- Possess an acute knowledge on how to enhance guest experience
- Oversee and guide guest’s complete dining and restaurant experience
- Provide knowledgeable, approachable, efficient, energetic, and thoughtful service always
- Ensure food and beverage arrive to guests quickly and correctly; and confirming guest satisfaction
- Accurately deliver food to the correct table, seat number, and modification(s) if applicable.
- Ensure proper table maintenance, including water service, pre-bussing, etc.
- Communicate respectfully with chefs (and kitchen team) as necessary
- Support team members in the completion of their duties to ensure satisfaction of all guests before, during, and after service
- Attend daily pre-shift with Manager(s) on Duty to review what is expected of service before the shift.
- Maintain complete knowledge of all respective menu items, prices, preparation method/time, ingredients and quality standards of taste, appearance, and texture, serving temperatures, portion size, garnish and method of presentation.
- Accurately deliver food to the correct table, seat number, and modification(s) if applicable.
- Receive cash from guests, make any change needed, verify validity of charges, record charges
- Responsible for table set up and maintenance of the dining room as well as its perimeters.
- Responsible for assisting bartenders, Runners, and bussers in clearing, cleaning and resetting tables in the restaurant and bar tops throughout service.
- Responsible for ensuring silverware and glassware are always available throughout service. This includes bringing clean silverware and glassware from the dish station, polishing, and restocking back to appropriate places.
- Responsible for bringing dirty plates and glassware to the dishwasher station in an organized manner.
- Follow and complete daily checklists for opening and closing side work duties.
- Maintain an excellent level of cleanliness in all areas of service. This includes having respect for common areas shared with other employees of the restaurant.
- Act with integrity, honesty and knowledge to promote company culture.
- Communicate guest requests/issues to the manager when needed.
- Maintain a hygienic and safe environment at all times.
- Report the breakage, loss or theft of any restaurant property
- Update job knowledge by participating in staff training opportunities.
- Adhere to all company procedures as it pertains to personal appearance, attendance and conduct

- Ability to carry multiple plates to/from tables with ease, efficiency and poise.
- Basic mathematical skills necessary to operate a cash register, make change, total guest checks, and all other charges

Physical Demands

Position Requirements
- Minimum 2 years serving experience in a high-volume, fine dining environment
- Food and beverage knowledge and a passion for the service industry
- Ability to work a variable schedule, including weekends, and shifts from morning through late night
Compensation: Hourly ($16.78+ Tips)
