Poetry Inn - Chef, Part-Time
Poetry Inn is a small luxury Napa Valley hotel perched on a hillside Cabernet Sauvignon vineyard in the Stags Leap District. Beyond its gated drive, guests experience the ultimate in privacy, serenity, and world-class hospitality with unparalleled Napa Valley views.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable, and responsible Chef to join our culinary team for this part time role. We pride ourselves on the culinary creations crafted at our exclusive property. If you are a passionate individual who is experienced in a kitchen; and can support our culinary team with an intimate unilateral operation for a luxury property, please send us your credentials.
The Ideal candidate demonstrates:
- Lives in a 50 miles radius of Napa Valley
- Measure and assembling of ingredients on a breakfast menu.
- Is well versed in a kitchen and has knowledge of world cuisines; additionally, can prepare: breakfast, lunch and dinner.
- Candidate understands food prepping.
- Collaborates with Poetry Inn team on food inventories and menu creations.
- Properly can store food items at appropriate temperatures.
- Rotate stock items as established by organization or term (FIFO)
- Ensure that the food prep area is maintained, sanitized.
- Is team oriented and can work independently.
- Is dependable punctual and flexible with work schedules.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of cooking experience in a luxury culinary environment (hotel or restaurant) establishment
- Able to read, write, converse fluently in English
- Follow standardized recipes
- Strong knowledge of food handling procedures
- ServeSafe Certification required
- Familiarity with Napa Valley
