Restaurant Facility Manager

Upon Review of Education, Experience and Skills

 

The Facility Manager is responsible for ensuring that the restaurant and property are well maintained. In addition, they will manage restaurant equipment issues with appropriate response and action, as well as organize and support the BOH staff to ensure restaurant operations run smoothly. The Facility Manager will report directly to the restaurant's General Manager and the Senior Manager of Corporate Facilities.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Communication and follow-up responses with contractors and vendors on all maintenance and service projects.
  • Scheduling and implementation of all ongoing Preventive and Maintenance tasks such as kitchen hood cleaning services and furniture maintenance.
  • Working with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (ResQ) to process work orders and prioritize them for the restaurant's needs
  • Creating weekly staff schedules and administration and uphold of Nobu Staff policies.
  • Responsible for ordering and inventorying restaurant cleaning, plate ware, and disposable supplies.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • Bilingual English-Spanish is preferred
  • Requires experience in managing staff, including hiring, discipline, scheduling, team building. Able to communicate effectively with vendors, management team, supervisors, and staff.
  • Responsible for ordering and receiving product. Experience with Compeat and/or Plateiq is a plus.
  • 1+ years of hospitality experience
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Basic knowledge of Electricity and Plumbing
  • Basic knowledge of HVAC and Refrigeration
  • Must be flexible with schedule and willing to work extra hours when necessary
  • Must be Hands-On with willing to take part in all BOH-related tasks
