Our plug: Prescription Chicken provides the MOST delicious, all-natural and practically homemade chicken soups to hungry bellies across the DMV. We share our product through on-demand delivery platforms such as UberEATS, DoorDash, Grubhub etc, as well as direct to consumer via online shipments and by stocking the shelves of the prepared food aisles in grocery stores locally and nationwide.

We’re in search of a General Manager of Local Operations to run our fast-casual delivery business in the Shaw neighborhood of D.C. This is a shared space alongside two other amazing DC bred businesses, and it is this leader’s responsibility to maintain a maintained space for all; however, each business operates independently!

Daily Responsibilities: You will wear ALL the hats including, and not limited to, running a fine-tuned and tight daily operation, leading our band of matzah ballers, increasing [catering] sales, and being one of the unique faces who embodies the Prescription Chicken brand, guiding your team to do the same.

We’re looking for an entrepreneur minded human who will run the operation as if it were their own business. You will report to the founders, but ability to function independently is a must!

Qualifications:

• You hustle and hustle hard.

• Your head is on a swivel, and you know what’s happening in the space and what your team is

  always doing.

• You know how to manage a team and continue to cultivate and grow an efficient, friendly, and

  reliable squad. As needed, you will recruit, hire, and train new team members.

• You are an A+ communicator with your team, the founders, and guests.

• You have a diligently managed calendar, and your email inbox is organized and well responded.

• You’ve got comfy shoes that allow you to zip around our space and make sure everything is

  where it needs to be, well stocked, sparkling and in operable fashion.

• You are a creative and forward thinker: a problem solver by nature.

• You’re not afraid to fail, as you know what you’ve just learned from that mistake is invaluable.

• You seek first to understand.

• You are dedicated, punctual and to put it simply: awesome.

  Semi-Negotiables:

  5+ years in people management

  3+ years in food and beverage operations, including in depth knowledge of catering (QSR is a plus!)

  2+ years in time management
  
  Bi-Lingual (spanish) ideal
