Mister Jiu’s and Moongate Lounge are looking for barbacks.
Michelin starred and James Beard awarded restaurant, Mister Jiu's restaurant and its upstairs bar and events space, Moongate Lounge, located in San Francisco’s historic Chinatown are both seeking experienced bartenders. We are a high energy, multi- faceted operation; dedicated to knowledge, craft, transparency and creative expression. We work as a team to curate a unique expression of Chinese American food and love what we do!
About the position:
Our bartenders are responsible for providing excellent customer service to guests seated at the bar as well as fulfilling orders placed by the serving staff. Bartenders must maintain consistent cleanliness of their station as well as ensuring the bar is presentable at all times. Must be willing to learn our cocktail menu. While applicants should be experienced working with fast paced cocktail driven programs, a willingness to learn is a top priority.
What we are looking for:
We are seeking a warm, positive, and friendly individual with a strong passion and willingness to learn about our food and beverage program; someone who enjoys talking to tourists, first-time guests, and can easily make regulars with their friendly demeanor. Someone who describes themselves as ‘working well with others.’ Must be comfortable in a high volume, fast paced environment.
Minimum 1 year prior cocktail bartending experience
Current California Food Handlers Card or completion within 2 weeks of employment.
Must be able to stand, walk, lift, serve for an extended period of time
Must be 21 years of age or older to apply. Must complete RBS certification within 2 weeks of employment.
Must be available to work 4-5 shifts a week.
