Riverview is an award winning community and regional favorite.  A busy large independent restaurant, with indoor and outdoor spaces, a full-service restaurant, seasonally inspired cuisine, casual upscale bar and strong event business. 

We are looking for an assistant manager to join our front of house team, ideally an enthusiastic experienced bar or service professional or culinary/hospitality graduate or professional who wants to move into a management role.  

this position is a member of our management team and will work under the direction of the owners and collaborate with the kitchen and event manager to ensure we have an efficient, customer focused and aligned service experience to complement our menu and customer expectations.  

This is offered as a salaried full-time position or consideration for an hourly part time role.  Salaries Employees who work more than 25 hours routinely are eligible for paid time off, subsidized health care and employee discounts.We are looking for an experienced leader, committed, friendly person to join our team!

servsafe manager or servsuccess restaurant professional training will be provided if the candidate does not possess current certification.

 Key Priorities

  1. Focus on scheduling, customer experience, staff training and performance
  2. Ensure employees are supported to deliver great customer experiences and follow our standards of business conduct
  3. deliver on cost-effective staffing and meet productivity standards
  4. Ensure FOH and Kitchen staff are aligned for optimal performance
  5. problem solve
  6. ensure customer expectations are exceeded

 Responsibilities:

  • review schedules and staffing levels with owners and management team to ensure smooth operations of bar, dining and functions
  • Participate in hiring, training and performance assessment of staff 
  • Ensuring that hygiene and safety standards are followed, as well as recommending & enforcing standard operating procedures with our chef related to hygiene & safety
  • Assist with front of house inventory management
  • Act as guest advocate, touch tables, speak to guests, build a following

  • Directly participate in and oversee effectiveness of closing procedures

  • Ensure HOST function has updated & accurate menus, adequate clean menus, posts and maintains bulletin boards, in-house menu frames & priority/VOIP guest lists
  • Be present, equipped & dressed to work as a leadership role model. 

Job Requirements

  • On the job or educational experience in hospitality ideally in service roles

  • Able to work in a fast paced environment

  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently

  • Self motivated and self directed

  • Works well as part of a team and on individual tasks

  • Legally able to work in establishments which serve alcohol

  • Able to work when the restaurant/facility is open

  • Must be able to pass a background check

  • Strong customer service skills

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs


Compensation Details

Compensation: Salary/Hourly ($45,000.00 - $55,000.00)

Riverview Restaurant is a large independent ACF registered restaurant, bar and event center. We offer a seasonal casual/upscale menu. We have large indoor and outdoor dining spaces and are open Wednesday-Sundays from 3pm. (12pm on Sundays). We have an extensive selection of draft beer, bottled beer, wine and cocktails. We also have our coffee roasted on site through a unique partnership with a leading regional coffee roaster.
