Expo/Food Runner Summary:

As the Food Runner, you will strive to deliver an exceptional hospitality experience, acting as a beacon of product knowledge, and keeping service and food flowing out of our busy Kitchen. You have a passion for food, are knowledgeable about related products and equipment. You understand the fundamentals of food service and support the team with a desire to learn and provide the best service possible. Hospitality and service are important to you. We have high expectations and so should you. Innovation, fearlessness, and thoughtfulness are the foundation that create a high level of professionalism in every aspect of the Postscript experience. 


Primary roles of the Expo/Food Runner:

  1. Expo/Food Runner leadership expectations
  • Create a welcoming environment.
  • Work quickly and efficiently.
  • Engage positively and enthusiastically with guests.
  • Maintain open communications with teammates.
  • Understand product pairings, suggestions and beer and wine fundamentals.
  • Commit to sensory development.
  • Cleaning equipment such as POS and expo area.
  • Keeps track of current orders and guests.
  • Building online takeout and delivery orders..
  • Opening and closing procedures. 


  1. Continue a culture of teamwork and collaboration that supports the overall store culture
  • Model and apply the employee handbook and code of conduct equitably.
  • Teach, mentor, and inspire (and be inspired by) all employees.
  • Respond proactively and positively to challenges in production.
  • Maintain professionalism with attire and enforce team hygiene standards.
  • Help build and maintain positive relationships between the back and front of the house.
  1. Facility Maintenance: 


The aesthetic and overall cleanliness and condition of the coffee bar and storage areas  is an essential part of our customer & employee experience.

As a Food runner, you are responsible to:

  • Ensure cleanliness and proper maintenance of your workstation, including and not limited to retail floor, bar tops, storage space, etc.
  • Work with Managment to ensure the retail floor is cleaned and serviced regularly. 
  • Ensure that the facility is both clean and in compliance with health department requirements.
  • Maintain high standard for the quality of food and be another set of eyes for the kitchen.

Requirements:

  • Previous retail food service experience.
  • Bilingual. Spanish and English. Must speak fluent English. 
  • Demonstrate a passion for food, service and organization. 
  • Maintain a current Serv-Safe or equivalent Food handlers’ certificate.
  • Availability to work shifts, early mornings, evenings, public holidays, and weekends.
  • On occasion you may be required to work more than 40 hours per week as required.
  • Ability to lift 40 Lbs.
  • Accurate order tracking.
  • Stocking and inventory skills.
  • Packaging and reading tickets in english.where
  • Repetitive bending, twisting, reaching, climbing, pulling, pushing, lifting, and grasping.

Compensation: Starts at $21.00/hr. Depending on experience
