As a participant in the Culinary Career Advancement Program within the Delaware North Culinary Academy, we want to give you all the tools to become a Sous Chef and one of our future culinary leaders! This program will support your culinary career progression through on-the-job training, mentoring, and continuous learning activities.
Pay
Minimum – Anticipated Maximum Salary: $43300 - $57400 / year
The advertised pay range represents what we believe at the time of this job posting, that we would be willing to pay for this position. Only in special circumstances, where a candidate has education, training, or experience that far exceeds the requirements for the position, would we consider paying higher than the stated range. Qualifications
-
AOS Culinary or bachelor’s degree from an accredited culinary school
-
OR a minimum of 3 years of experience in an independent commercial kitchen
- OR 1 year in a Delaware North kitchen.
- ServSafe Food Handlers Certification or completion of certification within 30 days of acceptance to the program.

Must have a strong work ethic, a sense of ownership, and a determination to achieve success.
- Purposeful, desire to learn and continuously improve the art and craft of hospitality and culinary.
- Humble, willing to ask for help, acknowledge others in your success, be approachable and empathic, and accept constructive feedback.
- Resilient, adaptable, and open to peer and mentor support.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, leadership, and motivational skills and the desire to be part of a culinary team where everyone contributes.
Physical Requirements

Ability to lift and carry objects up to 50lbs.
- Ability to stand for 8 to 12 hours each workday.
