Gravitas, a fine-dining Modern American restaurant by Chef Matt Baker is seeking a professional individual that Is passionate about food and beverage and that enjoys working in a small, team driven environment to be a food runner.
A minimum experience of one to two years of service in a fine-dining or Chef-driven restaurant is ideal. Fluency in English is preferred. Menu knowledge and memorization are key for the food runner role as well as focus, charm and a high sense of urgency. Availability Thursday through Sunday, afternoons and evenings is required as Gravitas is closed Monday-Wednesday and open for dinner only.
JOB DETAILS:
- Maintain Food Quality and Standards working with the kitchen to ensure all our dishes are presented perfectly to standard before leaving the kitchen
- Perform side work at the start and end of each shift as required.
- Retrieve order from the kitchen, confirm the accuracy, lift and deliver to guest
- Careful transportation of orders on trays between the 1st floor kitchen and the 2nd and 3rd floor dining spaces. Candidates must be able to walk stairs.
- Ensure guests are satisfied with the food and service, respond promptly and courteously to any requests
- Maintain cleanliness and condition of the work areas and equipment.
- May be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs for the restaurant such as holidays and weekends
- Other duties as assigned by Managers.
