The group operates six of the country’s most noteworthy restaurants and bars: Fork, High Street, High Street Bakery, High Street Hoagies and a.kitchen+bar in Philadelphia. Fork, opened in Philadelphia 25 years ago and paved the way for the “farm to table movement,” that is casually referenced today.
About the Role
The Hospitality Coordinator role is as crucial as any role in our company— supporting the day-to-day functionality and success of our co-founder and owner, Ellen Yin. On top of assisting her in a variety of ways (special projects, scheduling, meeting preparation, communications, marketing, events, etc.)
Responsibilities
- Maintain various records and documents for company executive
- Draft, review and send communications on behalf of company executive
- Prioritize emails and respond when necessary
- Act as a fast and efficient conduit between executive team, staff, and external clients/partners
- Manage executives’ calendars, schedule internal and external meetings (both in-person and virtual), including coordinating all logistical needs, and handle all travel and expense processing
- Assist executive with any necessary meeting preparation and, when requested, join executive in meetings to take notes and follow up with responsible parties to ensure tasks are completed as agreed upon
- Maintain executives’ call list and keep track of various "to-dos,” keeping executive on track with daily schedule
- Maintain strong working knowledge of special projects, employees, and important external contacts
- Develop processes that allow teams to move faster and creatively use resources
- Assist with special projects as needed
- Learning and working with various types of software for digital marketing (Sprout, Aweber, Word Press, Mailchimp, etc.)
- Providing support to the marketing team when necessary.
- Updating/building spreadsheets, lists, documents with pertinent information for special projects/events/catering etc.
Candidate Requirements
- 1 year+ past hospitality experience or internships in a related field
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Time-management skills
- Goal-oriented with a student mentality
- Works well with a team, but also self-manages at a high level
- Organization skills
- Ability to multitask
- Basic understanding of frequently used computer software and programs, such as Microsoft Office, Teams, Google Suite, etc.
- You have a strong track record of thriving in a fast-paced environment and possess an upbeat “can-do” attitude
- You are an exceptional communicator and enthusiastic collaborator
- Proven ability to handle confidential information with a high level of professionalism and discretion
- Ability to use strong judgement independently in a variety of situations
