The Role:

The lead bartender is a senior position at Rosemary & Pine responsible for overseeing the bar operations and leading the team of bartenders. As the lead bartender, you will also be responsible for creating and managing the house cocktail menu working alongside the chef to pair flavor profiles with current dishes.

Responsibilities: 

• Receives orders from waitstaff serving tables on the floor while managing the patrons at the bar. 
• Prepares and serves liquor, mixed drinks, wine, beer, and nonalcoholic drinks as ordered.
• Ensures that opening and closing tasks are completed to the standards of the bar. 
• Maintains the bar and keeps it clean and organized with the assistance of the team. 
• Trains new and existing staff on steps of service and cocktail execution.
• Submits orders or creates requisition forms for liquor, beer, and other bar-related supplies.
• Managing and creating the house cocktail menu.

Qualifications: 

•  Extensive bartending experience of at least 2 years, preferably in a supervisory or lead role. (Willing to consider other applicants with other high-level experience.) 
•  In-depth knowledge of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, cocktails, and drink recipes. 
•  Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to effectively manage and motivate a team. 
•  Excellent customer service and communication abilities. 
•  Organizational skills to manage inventory, orders, and scheduling. 
•  Familiarity with health and safety regulations related to bar operations. 
•  Proficiency in using POS systems and cash handling procedures.

The Lead Bartender must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
