Established, high-volume, Williamsburg restaurant is looking for an experienced Floor Manager.
High energy and gracious with excellent customer service and problem-solving skills. You must have experience running the door (managing reservations and walk-ins) and dining room, and understand and command fine dining service in a bustling neighborhood bistro. You must have the ability to lead and nurture the staff. Superior Service, Food and Beverage knowledge as well as the ability to effectively communicate and educate is a must. We are currently hiring for 4 shifts/ week- a 5th shift is negotiable.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to
Opening or closing the restaurant depending on the shift- ensuring proper setup or break down, checking sidework.
Creating the perfect ambiance with lighting, music, and temperature. Adjusting throughout shift accordingly.
Leading service- overseeing FOH staff throughout the shift to ensure efficient and effective service to ensure guest satisfaction.
Effectively handling any guest issues/ complaints during service.
Leading pre-shift meetings to prepare staff for the shift.
Training and Educating Staff
Knowing all house policies and protocols and enforcing them accordingly.
Daily reports/ shift summaries
