Shuka is looking to bring talented food runners to our team! We are a new Eastern Mediterranean restaurant located in the heart of Soho. Under the leadership of Chef Ayesha Nurdjaja, we strive to bring dynamic and vibrant flavors in a fun yet relaxed dining environment.
Our ideal candidate has 3+ years experience running food in a high volume, notable NYC restaurant. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
-Stocking the kitchen before, during, and after service
-Communicating with Chef and Managers and following their direction
-Working with a team of fellow runners and FOH staff
-Having a strong presence on the floor, interacting with guests and explaining dishes
-Support the Chef and the line cooks during service
-Knowing the menu including allergies and ingredients
-Maintaining a clean kitchen and upholding all DOH standards
-Prepping garnishes
-Remain calm under pressure
