Hey there!
We are searching for passionate Bartenders at Pretty Ricky's in the Lower East Side. We are a small, driven team and are seeking someone looking to grow with our company and bring meaningful contributions to both our service and operations. Our menu, created by Chef Orlando Hamilton, is a modern tavern inspired offering, and changes seasonally in conjunction with our cocktail program, curated by Will Krepop.
The Bartender will attend to guests while upholding the quality of food, beverage, and service. The ideal candidate will have a good sense of classic cocktail knowledge and experience in engaging with guests. Spirits and beer knowledge a huge plus! We are looking to have a fun team in anticipation of the busy summer months.
Key Focus
- Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for guests
- Interact with customers, take orders, and serve snacks and drinks
- Assess guests’ needs and preferences and make recommendations
- Prepare ingredients for cocktails
- Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
- Comply with all food and beverage regulations
- Check customers’ identification and confirm it meets the legal drinking age
- Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
- Collect payments for food and drinks served
- Perform opening and closing duties as assigned
Personnel:
- Ensure compliance with occupational, health, and safety standards.
- Participate in restaurant service and team trainings.
- Ensure consistent communication with staff members, management, and the kitchen during service.
- Demonstrate ability to aid co-workers during service while successfully maintaining responsibilities.
Guest Service
- Ensures all guests consistently receive courteous and efficient service.
- Responds positively and promptly to customer concerns and complaints.
- Maintains guest satisfaction by monitoring and evaluating food beverage and service offerings.
- Communicating any food allergy or special nutrition needs to kitchen staff.
- Maintain a welcoming and orderly restaurant environment.
- Builds relationships with repeat guests.
- Completes side work according to the schedule.
- Ensures consistent execution of company policies and procedures including recently created and evolving COVID guidelines
Service Standards
- Act as part of the team to maintain the high standards of cleanliness and appearance throughout all areas of the restaurant both before, during and after service.
- Reliably complete all assigned side work.
- Follow all company policies and procedures including recently created and evolving COVID guidelines.
- Demonstrate knowledge of Department of Health (DOH) standards.
Physical Demands
- The physical demands for this position are seeing, hearing, speaking, reaching, frequently lifting up to 25 pounds, occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds, standing for long periods, bending, and moving intermittently during working hours.
