Primary Objective of Position:
- Responsible for the set-up, break down, clean-up of all Banquet function rooms according to client and hotel specifications. Achieve a high level of guest satisfaction while maintaining high level of service as per Langham Hospitality Group and Forbes standards.
Responsibilities and Job Duties:
- Responsible for set up of tables and chairs to meet BEO specifications
- Responsible for the breakdown of meeting rooms by removing china, glass, silver, buffet equipment, chairs and tables
- Responsible for the cleanliness of meeting rooms by vacuuming, dusting ledges, cleaning walls and doors
- Responsible for maintaining meeting room cleanliness during the functions
- Responsible for securing functions space at end of shift
- Responsible in assisting banquet servers, banquet kitchen staff, stewarding as needed
- Provide maximum levels of guest service while maintaining Langham Hospitality Group standards and Forbes service standards
- Thorough knowledge of Food and Beverage outlet operations including foods, beverages, supervisory aspects, service techniques, and guest interaction
Experience Required:
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- 1 - 2 years of previous Banquet experience preferred
- IL Sanitation License required
- Luxury hotel experience preferred
- Knowledge of appropriate table settings, service ware, meeting room set up preferred
- One year customer service experience required
