Running Deer Golf Club is looking for a Clubhouse Manager to join our team. In this position, you'll be responsiblefor the overall operation of the Clubhouse, including the Food & Beverage department, Culinary department, Private Events Department, Housekeeping, Locker Rooms and Lounges. The primary responsibility of the Clubhouse Manager at Running Deer Golf Club is to drive the culture of hospitality excellence, standards of service and Member engagement. Works closely with the General Manager and collaborates with all departments of the Club to ensure alignment, and unified efforts for Member and Guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

Creates a feeling of overall Hospitality, Warmth and Energy through interactions with Members and Staff.

Responsible for genuine hospitality to all members and guests, that compliments the service-centric culture of the Club.

Maintains high visibility, regularly communicating and interfacing with Members, both in person and through structured written communications.

Is a Steward of the Brand, ensuring the intention of the Core Values for the Club is understood through actions, practices, processes and through discussions.

Plans and implements budgets. Develops an operating and payroll budget.

Joint responsibility with GM and AGM to prepare, manage and control the annual operating budget to assure positive outcomes.

Plans and coordinates training and development programs.

Responsible for hiring, coaching, disciplinary action, and ensuring proper documentation is completed.

Focused on continued development of a culture in which all staff are committed creating wow moments for Members and Guests.

Approves staffing and collaborates on the development and implementation of brand standard operating procedures for the Clubhouse including the food & beverage outlets, facilities maintenance, housekeeping, locker rooms and lounges.

Collaborates with Department Heads to develop and assess long-range plans, including staffing needs for all areas of responsibility.

Implements policies and procedures for the Clubhouse operations departments, including Food & Beverage, Culinary, Private Events, Housekeeping, Locker Rooms, and Lounges.

Greets guests and maintains a visible and approachable presence throughout the operation.

Responds to member/guest complaints and promptly addresses their concerns.

Monitors safety conditions and team member conformance with safety procedures.

Holds and attends regular team meetings for reports, developing alignment across all areas of responsibility.

Responsible for systems and processes that ensure dress attire standards are upheld by both Members and team members, alike, and as established in the approved uniform guidelines and the Club dress code.

Manages processes and systems that ensure the maintenance and upkeep of all Clubhouse equipment and general environment. Assists in the planning of facility improvements, remodeling/ repair and interacts with appropriate Club committees for this purpose.

Ensures systems of accountability for inventory in all areas of responsibility including the regular update of order guides, storage standards, carrying pars, transfers, etc.

As a Team Player of Running Deer Golf Club, the Clubhouse Manager must be flexible and is required to perform any job, in whatever capacity, as requested by the General Manager that may be necessary for the smooth operation of Running Deer Golf Club.
Private Events Management
Business and Financial

Assist in the development and preparation of budgets, including forecasting and review of all club operations revenues and expenses on a daily, weekly, monthly, and annual basis.

Ensure systems controls are in place to safeguard assets, revenues, and resources.

In keeping with facility goals, utilize yield management techniques to maximize private event calendar usage.
Other Facility/Departmental Responsibilities

Work closely with all department heads to achieve the goals and objectives of the facility.

Maintain a close working relationship with the Golf Course Superintendent to ensure the clubhouse grounds meet established standards.

Promotion of new member leads and provide a supporting role in assisting with prospective members and orientation of new members.

Coordinate plans with the Director of Golf for food and beverage needs for all golf functions.
