We are looking for someone with longevity in mind. We are seeking a motivated and talented individual to join our leadership team and help create great guest experiences. Current Food Handler's License and Basset certification are required to start.
This position has potential to transition to a full time salaried manager role.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
- Co- Develops a bar program that is aligned with our annual financial targets in conjunction with the General Manager and Beverage Director.
- Grows and evolves the bar program.
- Mixes and serve drinks following standardized recipes for specialty cocktails well as classics at the bar counter, service bar, and tableside.
- Provides service staff direction and coaching to ensure proper operation of the bar, concept, and assists staff when necessary.
- Trains new bartenders on all bar standards.
- Has full knowledge and can discuss all areas of the bar, concept, and inspiration with both staff and guests.
- Upholds all sanitation standards in all bar areas, including storage locations, equipment, tools, and supplies.
- Ensures all equipment is kept in good working order.
- Trains and acts as FOH Closing/ opening Manager when scheduled.(separate hourly rate)
- Actively participates and can occasionally lead pre-shift meetings.
- Knows and executes the service guidelines.
- Greets guests in a positive, friendly manner
- Must operate with a team-mentality and proactively assist all employees in servicing guest needs
- Communicates with managers, co-workers and guests in order to fulfill and address any issues or needs requested by guests and or other employees.
- Resolves guest complaints and leads the team in how to anticipate, address, and satisfy guests' needs.
- Performs other restaurant duties as requested by management.
- Follows all health and safety regulations.
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- A minimum of two (2) years of experience in a high-volume space as Head Bartender +
- A highly motivated and energetic personality
- Effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms
- Previous cash handling experience
- A strong commitment to excellence in hospitality
- Interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts and team members
- Working knowledge of health and safety regulations
- Work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and some holidays
