Maitre D’ Position - Carlotto opening in March 2023!
We are now accepting resumes for the Maitre D' position at Carlotto. This opportunity is ideal for someone who would like to join a passionate team of hospitality professionals, led by VP of Operations -- David Schneider and GM -- Steph Heins, for the opening of an Italian concept in a 70-seat restaurant space. Carlotto was designed by David Rockwell and neighbors its highly acclaimed sister-restaurant, Oceans. Qualified team members will represent our commitment to excellence and have opportunities to establish a fulfilling career path with Toptable, a leading hospitality group based out of Vancouver, Canada.
With a philosophy that the soul of the restaurant is found in its kitchen, we specialize in sustainably-sourced ingredients to compliment our vast menu that includes defty crafted housemade pasta, carefully procured salumi/formaggio, alongside an abundant offering of antipasti options.
Qualifications:
- Knows how to manage a reservations book while cultivating repeat clientele
- Has service experience, comfort and passion with food and beverage
- Able to participate in steps of service to assist the service team on the floor with setting/clearing tables, taking an order, and engaging guests tableside
- Personable, positive, and gracious with guests and teammates
- Highly committed to a premium level of quality, with a true passion for hosting and for nurturing an upbeat, welcoming atmosphere
- A solutions provider committed to a vision of service to create an ultimate guest experience
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills
- Excellent planning, organizational and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable dealing with VIP guests
- Desire to work with a team-oriented company
- OpenTable fluency is a plus
- Responsible and self-motivated
- Possess 2 to 3 years of experience in fine-dining service environments
