About Port Said:
Israeli celeb-chef Eyal Shani has brought to New York one of his most innovative restaurants -- Port Said. A long time Tel Aviv hot-spot with a market-driven menu and cutting-edge music program, Port Said is a place where music is made for grooving and food for sharing. Manhattan's Port Said is located in a 4,000 square-foot space in buzzy Hudson Square and features vinyl music curated by Los Angeles' sound collective, In Sheep's Clothing. Open till late and featuring a great bar program, Port Said serves as Lower Manhattan's most enviable music, culinary and cultural hub.
Responsibilities:
- Welcome and communicate with guests
- Manage reservation system on Resy.
- Manage email communication for special requests, private events, large parties, reservation changes, etc.
- Communicate respectfully and clearly with service team and management
- Ensure tables turn on time, and continuously strategize floorplan edits to accommodate more guests
- Assist teammates to anticipate all other FOH needs
- Be able to take reservations over the phone
Skills and Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of restaurant experience in a high volume, high end environment
- Excellent communication and hospitality skills
- Receptive to constructive criticism and performance feedback
- Must be professional, enthusiastic, and excited about our food, our brand and our story
- Warm personality and a natural ability to interact with people and create an upbeat, fun atmosphere, which is crucial to the experience at Port Sa'id.
