We're looking to hire qualified individuals asap, Apply today and we can get you started with us soon. The line cook/sous chef will be handling hot dishes, and small dishes at our French/Japanese infusion restaurant, raw and cooked dishes with unique flavors and next-level plate presentation.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manages the preparation area from start to finish
- Ensures the prep stations are set up and properly stocked before and during service
- Ensures that all food products have been prepared correctly before making and are made to perfection per Shiso's recipes and standards and with careful attention to any special dietary restriction or approved a special request
- Maintains appropriate portion-control
- Maintains cleanliness and sanitization of the food preparation area
- Maintains proper storing temperatures according to DOH regulations
- Follows proper rotation procedures according to DOH regulations
- Supports and assist your fellow team members whenever possible
- Communicates problems and ideas to General Manager and Manager on Duty
- Updates knowledge and skills by participating in staff training opportunities
- Maintains sanitation to Department of Health standards; Keeps work area clean and organized
- Informs General Manager and/or Manager on Duty immediately of any DOH or OSHA/workplace safety violations
- Cleans and maintains equipment used in food preparation, and reports necessary equipment repair and maintenance to General Manager
