Job Details
We are looking for a Chef de Cuisine that's as passionate about caring for the people in their employ as they are about food, drink and hospitality.  This person would lead the kitchen team on a daily basis while working directly with our Chef/Owner Jon Sybert to create dishes for the menu. Experience in whole animal butchery, bread baking and preservation is a must.  Knowledge of the foods in our region is also helpful, but an enthusiasm to learn is all that's required. The right person will have a good amount of experience in senior leadership positions, but previous CDC or Executive Chef experience is not a prerequisite.  
 

Skills necessary to succeed in the position:

  • Above average organizational skills
  • Ability to execute tasks accurately 
  • Excellent record of kitchen and staff management
  • Proactive problem solving is essential
  • Working knowledge of basic computer skills, will need to be trained in google docs, slack and restaurant’s POS and reservation systems
  • Ability to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen and dining room employees, and guests.
  • Safe Food Handling Certification
  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of all food allergens
  • Ability to bend, stand, and stoop for long periods of time, and working long hours in hot conditions

Experience Requirements:

  • 2 years in a senior leadership position, Exec Sous or above
