Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Restaurant Host with a strong background in upscale dining to join our team. The ideal candidate is personable, highly organized, and possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills. As the sole host working during each shift, you will be responsible for warmly welcoming guests, managing reservations, and ensuring a smooth and seamless flow of guests throughout their dining experience.

Responsibilities:

1. Greet and welcome guests upon arrival with a warm and professional demeanor.
2. Maintain a well-organized reservation system, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
3. Effectively manage the seating process to ensure timely seating and appropriate table assignments.
4. Assist guests with any special requests or accommodations, demonstrating exceptional customer service.
5. Provide accurate wait time estimates to guests and effectively communicate any delays or changes.
6. Coordinate with servers, bussers, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth guest transitions and minimize wait times.
7. Maintain a clean and organized lobby area, including managing coat check services if applicable.
8. Maintain knowledge of the menu, daily specials, and wine list to answer guest inquiries.
9. Handle guest complaints or concerns in a professional and efficient manner, seeking assistance from management when necessary.
10. Collaborate with the management team to create and implement strategies to enhance the guest experience.

Requirements:

1. Previous experience as a host/hostess in an upscale restaurant or fine dining establishment.
2. Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to anticipate and fulfill guest needs.
3. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests and staff.
5. Professional appearance and demeanor.
6. Ability to handle high-pressure situations and remain calm under stress.
7. Flexibility to work Friday and Saturday evenings from 4:30 pm to 9:30 pm.
8. Knowledge of reservation management systems and basic computer skills.
9. Knowledge of food and wine is preferred
