JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of 3 years cooking experience in a similar establishment. Ability to work a variety of shifts as needed (i.e. day, night and weekend). Fluent in written and spoken English. Excellent people skills.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Prepare all pastry items as required in a timely manner for events, restaurant, and carry out (breakfasts, luncheons, dinners, and special parties). Must be able to stand without sitting for a minimum of 4 hours. Must be able to lift and carry (a minimum of 10 feet) at least 40 pounds. Strive to learn and excel in all areas of the kitchen.

JOB DUTIES:

• Assure that all food products in area are fresh and of highest quality.
• Set up, maintain and close down station.
• Collect food products and equipment required for daily preparations.
• Operate food production equipment according to manufacturer’s instructions.
• Carefully follow established recipes, procedures and presentations.
• Properly store all food items (new deliveries, mise en place, and leftovers) as instructed by supervisor;

including labels with date of preparation.

• Bring soiled utensils and small wares to proper washing area.
• Maintain security and safety in work area.
• Maintain a neat, professional appearance. Observe personal cleanliness guidelines at all times.
• Strictly adhere to local and state health and safety standards and codes.
• Clean and sanitize all large (non-submersible) equipment after using.
• Consistently adhere to established quality and quantity standards.
• Consistently meet or exceed member expectations.
• Consistently meet or exceed department and team expectations.
• Meet all deadlines for food production as instructed by supervisor.
• Remain in kitchen unless pre-approved by supervisor.
• Ask for help when needed and offer to help coworkers when they need it.
• Accept changes, requests and supervision without argument or discussion with anyone.
