Job description

Are you an accounting professional with a strong attention to detail and a background in controls and process? If you are a self-motivated problem solver this could be the role for you!

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience managing vendors, AP, completing account reconciliations.
  • Payroll management and processing experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
  • General understanding of cash basis and GAAP accounting practices.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Able to work as part of a team and independently to complete tasks in a timely manner.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with various levels of management, across the organization, and with external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work primarily in an office setting with occasional need to commute to store locations as needed to support accounting initiatives.

BONUS SKILLS:

  • Restaurant Accounting Experience

JOB FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supporting senior accounting staff and/or performing the following tasks independently:

  • Execute AP reviews to ensure accurate weekly submission at each branch location.
  • Complete daily matching and cash deposit reconciliations within Heirloom’s accounting system of record.
  • Reconcile vendor statements per period.
  • Enter corporate invoices as needed.
  • Assist in executing weekly payroll processing and handling inquiries related to payroll.
  • Maintain supporting schedules for leases, routine payments, contracts with recurring payments.
  • Assist in monitoring compliance between branch management and Finance/Accounting/HR SOP’s developed and maintained within the corporate office.
  • Complete weekly payroll processing procedures.
  • Assist HR with maintaining accurate employee profiles within ADP.
  • Manage vendor contracts and vendor profiles within the accounting system.
  • Responds to and processes various requests from managers, employees and others.
  • Assist management is developing and maintaining corporate budgets.
  • Prepare weekly operational statements and scorecards for analysis.
  • Complete journal entries as needed.
  • Complete routine periodic account reconciliations.
  • Assist senior accounting management with the creation, updates, and maintenance of cash forecasts.

Salary: $60,000 - $70,000 per year
