This position includes:
Baking, refreshing, filling and decorating pastries to be sold in the bakery that day. Basic pastry knowledge is required, such as how to make meringue, reconstitute buttercream, utilize piping and decorating skills, as well as how to operate commercial kitchen equipment. Some light prep work such as pre-scaling ingredients and making doughs may be added to end of the day work. Candidate must clean and close the kitchen at the end of their shift as well.
We are looking for someone who is skilled and knowledgable and can work at a steady yet quick pace to produce beautiful pastries for our microbakery. This is a perfect position for someone who has basic pastry skills and is looking to add to their portfolio.
ServSafe certified is required, owner is willing to fund the exam for the right candidate. Other food safety certifications are also accepted.
