Spearhead Hospitality is a Chicago based boutique hospitality management company with a portfolio that includes the Robey Hotel, Chicago Getaway Hostel, and Canal Street Eatery & Market with a potential of additional properties under management. THIS IS A MONDAY-FRIDAY POSITION, FEW WEEKENDS FOR EVENTS!!!!!
We are looking for those who deliver attentive service and strong leadership skills. You'll need an ability to create a motivating work environment, have a strong passion for excellence, and quality guest service.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assists the Operations Manager in managing service staff engaged in preparing and serving food and drinks
- Assists in training workers in service, sanitation, and safety procedures
- Assists in compiling and balance cash receipts at the end of the day or shift
- Conduct pre-shift meetings with staff members in absence of the Manager
- Perform various financial activities such as cash handling, deposit preparation, and payroll.
- Resolve customer complaints regarding food service
- Assist in controlling inventories of food, equipment, small ware, and liquor, and report shortages to designated personnel
- Assist in purchasing supplies and equipment needed to ensure quality and timely delivery of services
- Observe and evaluate workers and work procedures to ensure quality standards and service
- Schedule associates to ensure adequate staff in absence of the General Manager
- Any and all job duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- 1-4 years related experience and/or training.
- Attention to details to elevate the guests experience
- Strong leadership skills to guide and maintain high service standards.
- Available to work opening & closing shifts, holidays and long shifts if necessary.
- Impeccable hygiene with pride in appearance.
- Must be able to deal with guests in a professional manner, maintain a professional appearance and have a strong sense of urgency.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
