Balancing inspiration from the modern built forms of Singapore with traditional patterns to create a restaurant space that is imbued with culture. The elegant space includes 30ft ceilings, 2 beautiful bars, chefs table, and an expansive patio.

Finding inspiration from one of the most eclectic culinary scenes in the world, chef Pepe Moncayo brings with him ten years of cooking and living in Singapore to the forthcoming Jiwa Singapura. It is in Singapore where Moncayo met his wife, had his children, and deepened his love for cooking and the art of hospitality. He calls it his “home, forever.”

The Tysons Galleria restaurant will capture the best of Singapore’s street-food culture and high-end dining, giving the larger D.C.-metro area a taste of some of the Asian city-state’s boldest, nuanced flavors. Expect to see the classics like Hainanese chicken rice, laksa and chili crab.

The Role
As the Server Assistant you are responsible for assisting the Server to satisfy guests needs. Your section is filled with silverware, linen, and  glassware that enables you to add, eliminate or modify place settings quickly based on party size or  preference. Keep an eye out to ensure furniture is in place too, pushing in chairs when patrons leave,  making adjustments as needed to ensure ease of movement in the dining room.

  Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Clears and resets tables
  • Check the dining area, tables, and chairs for cleanliness. Maintains cleanliness and organization of FOH stations. Clear, clean, and set-up tables, chairs, linens, china, glass, and silver for service in an unobstructive manager and greet guests according to Cranes Standards.
  • Keep stations stocked throughout the shift
  • Check FOH areas in the Beverage station are in stock of Silverware, china, glassware, napkins, and share plates. Inform the steward and polisher if items need to be replenished.
  • Assist in guest services as directed by the Server and management.
  • Provides water, coffee, and tea. Assists in preparation of smaller items such as N/A beverages
  • Perform side-work and other duties requested by the manager and make sure it's completed on 7-tasks.
  • Pick up debris and cleans any spill or grease on the floor.
  • Assist the food runner to pick up food from the pass and as needed. 
  • Assist in the breakdown, cleaning, and set-up of the area of responsibility
