We are currently seeking a talented and passionate Line Cook to join our team and contribute to our mission of delivering outstanding food and coffee offerings.

Job Description: As a Line Cook at Wake Coffee, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and smooth operation of our kitchen. Working with fresh ingredients, you will contribute to creating a diverse menu featuring made-in-house items. Your culinary expertise, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will directly impact our customers' satisfaction. There is an opportunity for more hours based on proven performance.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook menu items using fresh ingredients and in-house recipes, ensuring high quality and taste in every dish.
• Follow proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures to maintain a safe and clean kitchen environment.
• Coordinate and communicate effectively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth food preparation and timely delivery.
• Maintain accurate inventory records of in-house ingredients and inform the management team of any shortages or needed replenishments.
• Assist in organizing and maintaining the kitchen, including equipment maintenance, dishwashing, and waste disposal.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper handling and labeling of allergens.
• Uphold Wake Coffee's commitment to exceptional customer service by ensuring that all food items are prepared to meet or exceed customer expectations.
• Continuously strive to improve culinary skills and knowledge through training, experimentation, and staying updated on food trends.
• Must be willing to wash dishes, mop floors and perform daily cleaning and sanitation of work environment

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a line cook or relevant culinary experience in a fast-paced environment is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen equipment.
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet demanding time constraints while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable transportation to commute to and from work.
• Flexibility to work on Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday from 7:30 am to 3:00 pm.
• A passion for using fresh ingredients and creating made-in-house menu items.
• Food handling and safety certification is required. Willing to provide it as well.
